I am so happy to announce that, for the next 9-10 months, I will be the (remote) writer-in-residence at The Mount, author Edith Wharton’s historic home in Lenox, Mass. With the aid of Mount staff, the Lenox Library, and the Lenox Historical Commission, I will be researching and writing an essay that braids personal experience and local history from the turn of the 20th century, when Edith Wharton lived in the community as part of the upper-class summer vacationers who owned “cottages” (estates) around the Lenox region during the Gilded Age in beyond. My residency will culminate with the creation of a handmade book of the finished essay and two public writing installations of essay selections in Lenox (locations TBD).
